Repeat Prescriptions
We are unable to accept prescription requests by telephone.
Calls to Dispensary (Option 3) will only be answered between 9am to 12pm Monday to Friday. Please bear with us as our Staff are working hard processing prescription requests.

Ordering a Repeat Prescription
When you order a prescription online, you can have it sent electronically to a pharmacy of your choice. This is called a nomination.
Remote and Home Deliveries
We would like to remind patients who use this service that all prescription deliveries must be signed for and that no medication will be left without a signature or with anyone under 18 years.
- If any deliveries are missed these will be returned to Swanton Morley Surgery for re-delivery or collection.
- Dispensary offer this free weekly delivery service to the surrounding villages and especially for those unable to leave their homes.
The NHS App
Order repeat prescriptions via the NHS App or NHS website, and have them sent to a pharmacy of your choice.

The easiest way to order your prescription is by using our online services (SystmOnline).

You can make a custom request after you continued to the next page when ordering online to inform Dispensary where you want your medication delivered to if you have not been set up already for Remote or Home Delivery.
If nothing is written in the notes section on the next page, it will be assumed you will collect from Elmham Surgery, Swanton Morley Surgery or to the set location on your records.

The service is available to all of our patients – if you pay for your prescriptions please send your payment with your repeat request. Any uncollected medications will be returned to the surgery. Please note that you can only collect your prescription during Post Office opening hours.
Please allow 3 working days for remote deliveries to ensure we have all the medication in time for delivery.
When ordering prescriptions online you will have to register for our online services if you are able to.
Please ensure you write in the notes section where you want to collect your prescription from Elmham/Swanton, or home delivery/Post office. If nothing is written in the notes, it will be assumed you will collect from Elmham Surgery.

Pharmacy Ordering / Collection Service
Pharmacies offer a prescription collection service from our Practice
Your pharmacy can also order your medication on your behalf. This saves you time and unnecessary visits to the Practice. Please contact the Pharmacy of your choice for more information if you wish to use this service.
About pharmacists
As qualified healthcare professionals, pharmacists can offer advice on minor illnesses such as:
- coughs
- colds
- sore throats
- tummy trouble
- aches and pains
They can also advise on medicine that you can buy without a prescription.
In Person
You can order in person by returning the right-hand half of a previous prescription for the required medications.
Or, you can submit a handwritten request. You may also write out an order for someone else. You must include the patient's name, date of birth and requested medication.
By Post
You can post your prescription slip or written request to us at the Practice.
If you're unable to collect your prescription from the surgery, please include a stamped, addressed envelope for return by post. Please allow at least seven days if requesting your medication by post.
Medication Queries
Please get in touch with the surgery dispensary to raise a query about your medication. See the dispensary opening hours. Prescriptions with queries usually take an extra day or two to process.

Please remember - when you call to collect your prescription, if you are exempt from prescription charges, we are required by law to ask you to produce evidence of exemption and will be unable to release your prescription without this.
